A Love Story 16 Years in the Making

On Sunday, 14th December 2025, Brendan and Daniel will celebrate not just their wedding day but also 16 incredible years of love, laughter, and shared adventures.

Their story began in Wollongong, where fate - disguised as a mutual friend - brought them together. Their first date was at Diggies, where Brendan discovered the simple joy of a Lemon, Lime & Bitters, completely unaware that the real life-changing moment that day was meeting Daniel.

Two years later, they built their first home together in Warilla, NSW. Daniel, with his keen eye for detail, transformed their house into a neighbourhood gem - so much so that the neighbours followed suit. (It turns out the old saying is true: a little touch of gay magic does wonders for property values.)

Around the same time, Brendan bought his first car - a blue Nissan Pulsar—from Daniel’s dad, Charlie. That little car symbolised his independence and the exciting new chapter they were building together.

As their lives and careers grew, they moved to Rhodes, Sydney, embracing the energy of city life. Their days were filled with friends, unforgettable meals, and laughter that echoed through the years. Among the friendships they formed, Rebecca and Matteo became family and now stand beside them on this special day.

Their next adventure took them to Wentworth Point, where they purchased a penthouse overlooking the city skyline - a place that became a sanctuary filled with love, beautiful views, and the quiet certainty that they were building something lasting.

Eventually, their journey brought them full circle, back to Wollongong, where they purchased a seaside penthouse. But this time, their family was about to grow in a different way.

Welcoming their first kittens, Katia and Shadow, filled their home with even more warmth and mischief. Though Shadow’s time was brief, she was deeply loved. Later, Luna, their feisty Turkish Angora, arrived - quickly establishing herself as the queen of the household.

Seeking more space for their growing fur family, they settled in Sydney’s Hills District, trading city lights for a quieter, more peaceful life. Their careers flourished - Daniel as a Director at a US based software company, and Brendan making his mark in business banking - but through all the achievements, what mattered most was always each other.

After 13 years of love, partnership, and shared dreams, Daniel knew it was time to take the next step. So he asked Brendan to marry him, and now, here they are - standing on the edge of their next great adventure, surrounded by the people they love most.
